2009-2010 was the first year of the Wyoming Kids First initiative and the Wind River Reservation continues to be one of three pilot regional partnerships throughout the state of Wyoming. During the first year, the partnership worked to create a Community Assessment, a Strategic Plan, and a Community Engagement plan to help guide the coordination and collaboration in services to strengthen community resources that benefit children and their families.
The Wind River Reservation Kids First strategic plan is built around these four priorities:
1. Family & Parent Support
2. Education
3. Health
4. Economic Development & Political Leadership
